Transparency

Transparency is needed in government.

Free flow of information and transparency are hallmarks of liberty and equality. To better inform the people of the workings of the government, new laws should have clearly written summaries that the everyday voter can understand. That way every citizen can better understand how new legislation will affect his or her life.

In addition, we have seen government bureaucracies and individuals use their political bias in setting regulation and policy, our judges preside over cases as activists with their preconceived biases. Government employees should have their donation and membership in political organizations tracked by an independent government organization made up of representatives from both parties, as well as independents, and held accountable if found to be abusing their positions to undermine or attack political opposition.
